| Just go here from now on. I'm not going to explain, so just go there, okay.

| We all know, of course, that I am a sucker for silly little things like this. I may be behind on putting substance in my Xanga, but this is right on:
| Your Birthdate: April 5 | You have many talents, and you are great at sharing those talents with others. Most people would be jealous of your clever intellect, but you're just too likeable to elicit jealousy. Progressive and original, you're usually thinking up cutting edge ideas. Quick witted and fast thinking, you have difficulty finding new challenges.
Your strength: Your superhuman brainpower
Your weakness: Your susceptibility to boredom
Your power color: Tangerine
Your power symbol: Ace
Your power month: May |
Yeah. It's pretty much exactly me.

| Okay, so I didn't update on Sunday after my course like I said I would. I am sure you'll be excited to know that I passed the course and got my certificate. Most of my points lost were from a skills test called "the box." Pretty much it's doing a 270 degree turn and then a 180 degree turn in a space that measures 20' x 60'. Let's just say I was thinking outside the box on that one.
This morning Travis drove me downtown and I took my written test for my Motorcycle endorsement. It was a 10-question joke. We then headed to the Revenue Office and I got my license. I was so excited when I drove to work today, and so very nervous. I have to admit that I'm not used to my bike like I got used to the ones in the class. I killed the bike about 5 or 6 times between my house and the Thornton. I think I'm going to take a stroll down Moore toward Main this evening. It has a number of stops and that will give me some start/stop practice. I'm terribly excited about my new bike, but I have to remember to temper that excitement with caution. Taking any chance could end up with me being "one with the road," and not in a good way. If you drive a car, like most of you do, I'll ask for my sake that you please try and be more aware of us on motorcycles.
See you on the road.

| It is currently almost 4pm. We got out of the classroom session earlier than normal because we covered the material fairly quick. It was a pretty neat day, and I learned a bunch. Tomorrow, however, we do some more advanced maneuvers and have he skills test. I'm a little nervous about that, I must admit. Tomorrow morning I'll be out there at 11am, which is a relief. My group will go and take the written test covering classroom material, then we'll head out to driving area and work on the more advanced stuff. I'll give the final report sometime tomorrow, probably around or after 4pm.

PS - Yeah, my bike is a bit bigger than the one I'm using in the course. Once I even get my license, I may end up just driving down the street to a parking lot and practicing with it anyway. I almost wish I would have made arrangements to use my bike for this class...

| It is currently a little after 11am. Class is going well. There are about 20 people there, divided into two groups. I was in the group that was doing riding first. It was pretty intense, but a lot of useful information. I'm having lunch real quick before I return for the afternoon classroom time. Tomorrow is only riding and then the exam. If you pass the exam, you don't have to take the skills test to get your license; that would be cool. Anyway, I have to finish eating and get out of here. I'll post again tonight with results from the classroom.
Casey out.
